About me
Last time: I'm on the board of NYCC as "Webmaster". This year I'm running for Director of Technology. For a single reason: to improve the club's website. Read it here.
I've spent thirty-plus years building digital systems in finance, payments, and insurance: systems that serve more than 100,000 users and move or manage billions of dollars. I've have done the work as a developer, QA tester, product manager, UX designer, site reliability engineer, co-founder & CTO, and VP of engineering. I mention this as a means of estabilishing my bona fides; I've been doing this kind of work for a while and have deep and broad experience doing so.

My participation in the club
I've been riding with NYCC for about five years, with a year off for an aging knee. As a volunteer I have:
- For Escape New York 2025, helped plan the routes (Strava/RWGPS) and was Piermont stop bike mechanic
- For the new volunteer rewards site, set up login and enabled the site to run on NYCC's domain
- For Escape New York 2026, built eny.nycc.org
- Built an alternative version of the new website. See it at tools.nycc.org
- Submitted the motion (passed unanimously), to create a D-Rides coordinator
- Submitted the motion (passed by a thin margin), to survey members on the new site
- And I've led the occasional ride too
