Why I'm running

I'm Scott Weinstein, on the board of NYCC as Webmaster and I'm running for Director of Technology for a single reason; after three years and $200,000 of the club's finances spent, nearly half of surveyed members think the new website is a downgrade from the site it replaced.

In fact, there are no metrics to indicate that the investment the club made has had any positive impact on membership or ridership rates.

This is fixable. The problem is one of judgment and leadership, not engineering or design. The club belongs to its members, all 3,300 or so of us. With the right people in place we can put behind the last few years of drift and improve the club by building public pages (to attract members) and a rides app we can all be proud of & enjoy using. Both need replacing. For the rides app I have something concrete and ready today, and the public pages we can fix after.
